Let us bring your dream day to life

Rachel & Ed get wed :)

Rachel & Ed got hitched at the Army Navy Country Club - Memorial Day Weekend!  The forecast was questionable for the ceremony as they were calling for some rain and storms to move into the area.

It was a last minute call to switch the ceremony site from the open terrace area to the covered terrace area and boy were we glad that call was made! It began to pour just as the ceremony began - hey, that's good luck, right?! ;)

Rachel & Ed started their event with a private Ketubah signing & then had it displayed up front by the Chuppah for guests to see during their wedding ceremony.

Despite the rain, the trees were a perfect shade of green and guests still had a nice view of the Washington Monument as they watched the two say their vows.

The reception was so much fun, music was performed by the Finns and even one of the grooms uncles got up on stage to play a few songs with the band!

The Laughing Hat provided a photobooth that proved fun for all & the couple danced the night away with family & friends.

Once the reception ended, guests gathered outside to send the couple of in style with some beautiful sparklers! Overall it was a wonderful night, and we were so honored to be a part of it! Wishing Rachel & Ed a lifetime of happiness & health! <3

Special thanks to Tracy Timmester for these amazing photos!

We Saw ALL of the Elements on this April Day

Talk about being prepared for everything! The day of Sally & Alan's garden wedding, we had snow in the morning, rain in the afternoon and blustery high winds to top off the evening!

Luckily we were working with an amazing team of vendors and venue! The venue was Airlie, and they provided us with an incredible second option for their ceremony - a conference room with tall windows over looking the garden so we could still see it's beauty with comfort inside! Their staff was amazing and we had the best time working with them & can't wait to do so again in the future!

How beautiful is Sally?! She had this contagious smile on her face the entire day, which I'm sure made capturing all of these beautiful images easy for Tracy Timmester

We had such a great team of vendors that day, too! Harpist, Nadia Pessoa played beautiful music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The floral design was by the incredibly talented LynnVale Studios, and Marc Wilner kept the guests on their feet dancing the night away.

Guests were greeted at the cocktail hour with fun koozies that matched the colors of the day. The cake, made by  Gateau Distinctive Cakes even had a special logo created for the couple to show their pride in their alma mater.

The clouds parted to make way for a beautiful sunset & an adorable sparkler send off. Thanks Sally & Alan for putting your trust in ABE for your big day! We were so honored to be a part of it and wish you both a lifetime of happiness!!

Check out this awesome video by In Depth Photo & Video that captured the whole day!

An Arena Stage Event

Lauren & Tom were so fun to work with. Tom's quirky spirit and Lauren's laid back personality made for the perfect combination!

THEY TOOK THE METRO TO THEIR WEDDING!! How fun is that!? Well, it certainly made for some fun and incredible photos captured by the amazing Rachel Naft Photography

The ceremony took place in the lobby of Arena stage, which is incredible with it's two story ceiling to floor windows & the reception took place in the library where the couple enjoyed their amazing food by RSVP Catering and danced the night away with musical styling's of the ever talented DJ Amen Ra.  We used NO florals at this wedding, whatttt? No florals?! That's right, the bride hand knitted her gorgeous bouquet which matched her blue and white wedding gown & also hand made all of the pottery for the centerpieces. Guests were encouraged to take home a piece of pottery as a favor. The cake was delicious & made by Rare Sweets, one of the couples favorite spots in the city.

It was truly an incredible night! Congratulations Lauren & Tom, we were so honored to get the opportunity to work with you & wish you all the happiness in the world! :)

Two Sweet Peas in a Pod

My word. Mari & Jeremy were just a breeze to work with! We LOVED their trust in us and their laid back personalities. We also loved how creative Mari was - she hand crafted tons of paper roses to help bring her sweet and romantic centerpiece vision together! Check out some of the pictures below - all captured by the ever talented Emily Clack.

Twinbrook Floral Design  did an amazing job with the bouquets and ceremony flowers. The ceremony was held at the Kay Spiritual Life Center on American University's campus and the reception followed at the Wittemore House in DC. After the August ceremony the guests were greeted with popsicle's from Pleasant Pops before they headed over to the reception. The couple rented a Car2Go to zip them around DC.

Delicious food served by Old Blue BBQ & Sprinkles provided cupcakes which were displayed on a sweet (no pun intended) dessert table display of vintage books and saucers.

Guests enjoyed wandering through the Wittemore house and seeing all of the different rooms and had a great time dancing the night away to the musical stylings of DJ Bobby Jae

Congratulations Mari & Jeremy! Wishing you a lifetime of love & happiness!

A Magical Night in Charllotesville

I don't even know where to begin with this wedding! It was such a dream. Stephanie & Glenn were both in med school in Richmond - their love of fine food and wine made Veritas Vineyards the perfect venue to tie the knot.

The day started out pretty windy but, just like we ordered it straight from mother nature, as soon as it was time to go - it died down!  I just love it when things work out that way!! They had paper cones filled with petals to toss as they walked down the aisle and with the backdrop of the mountains and vines it couldn't have been more perfect, not to mention the amazing floral work of Southern Blooms!

The cocktail hour took place in the tasting room. Guests signed the hand painted canvas (by the groom, no doubt!) as the guest book and enjoyed cocktails and hor dourves.

The reception started, delicious food was served, and the band played the night away while guests danced their hearts out! They had a small cake to cut but treated guests to a pie bar for dessert and gourmet donuts on their way out!

Phenomenal work by Rachel May Photography! We are also super excited that this wedding was featured in the Southern Weddings Blog & also included in a 4 page spread in Southern Weddings insert of the October issue of Southern Living Magazine!!

Congratulations, Glenn & Stephanie - it was such a magical night and we were so honored to be a part of it!
